According to a blog post, Apple seems to be try out a new idea for its users to log onto iCloud.com with its coming operating systems. This new idea is basically to log in onto iCloud.com by using of features like Touch ID and Face ID. This blog post also told that the people who have installed the beta for iOS 13, iPadOS 13, and macOS Catalina (Announced at Apple WWDC)in their Apple devices are now able to sign onto their accounts using these features, on their devices.
A popup appears on the screen when a beta user who visit beta.icloud.com either on their beta-equipped device or on their PC, asking the user if they would like to use either of those features, then it will further continue to log them in, without demanding two-factor verification. It seems like this is an advantageous and wise move made by the company as now their users can unlock their devices and shop using Apple Pay by using either of these features.
That post also indicated that this feature could be an element of Apple’s anticipated Sign in with Apple tool. As Facebook and Google have set-up a single sign-on button, the same service this feature is going to provide their customers. The company has proclaimed that the Face ID and Touch ID are credible features by claiming that the Apple is a unit for privacy on the web. The Apple fans are looking forward to use the new feature to log onto iCloud, as iCloud was exposed to a huge breach couple of years ago.
